Max has always been fascinated by bikes. Watching the pros on TV he soon transitioned from running to a cycling club and started a classic journey of racing bikes on the road. When he decided to end his career on the road there was a void which was very quickly filled by racing XCM and discovering ultra distance through the uprising of gravel bikes. The stupid decision to race the Silkroad Mountain race as his first unsupported bikepacking race changed his life. He got obsessed with bikepacking and ultra races, building a career out of it soon after. His biggest goal is to inspire more people to ride bikes and promote his home continent Europe through his project gravgrav.cc
